Over the past 20 years there has been no innovative or new technology for tattoo removal. Multi-coloured tattoos were often treated with different lasers as there was no one laser available to treat all colours. Then Cynosure launched the world’s first picosecond laser in 2012 – the revolutionary PicoSure laser. This state-of-the-art technology has revolutionised the effectiveness of tattoo removal. The pulse width of the picosecond technology is 100 X faster than nanosecond technology and not only is it effective on all tattoo colours, but compared with other tattoo removal lasers, tattoo treatments now take half of the overall time, saving patients both time and euros
Picosure is the latest innovation in tattoo removal, using picosecond technology to remove tattoos in a shorter timespan with better results. But what are the benefits in comparison to Q-switch laser removal? Much faster removal of most tattoo inks (officially the fastest tattoo removal in the world). Fewer treatments than traditional lasers without injuring the surrounding skin. Much more effective for blues and greens. Much faster laser pulse. Much more thorough ink particle destruction. Will usually clear even resistant tattoos that have stopped fading in response to other lasers. Reduced side effects. 75% or greater clearance after one treatment.
PicoSure can be used to remove a variety of tattoo colors and types. Difficult ink colors, such as blue and green, and previously treated tattoos can effectively be removed with PicoSure.
