INTRODUCING The “ VAMPIRE “ Facial
You may have heard about the latest skincare trend, the vampire facial, made famous by reality TV stars. The actual procedure is way less scary than it sounds, and it’s available to more than just celebrities. The vampire facial, also known as microneedling with PRP, is a cosmetic procedure that involves drawing blood from your arm, separating platelets and applying them back onto your face. This procedure has many benefits, including younger looking skin, and is only gaining in popularity.
What is a vampire facial?
A vampire facial is a combination of microneedling and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Microneedling uses short, fine needles to puncture the skin. These needles range in size from .5 to 2.5 millimeters. Rest assured, the needles feel like tiny pinpricks and only go skin-deep. The pricks are used to “injure” the skin, prompting your skin to heal itself by producing elastin and collagen, and allowing the PRP to penetrate deeper.
Once the microneedling is completed, PRP is applied to your skin topically. PRP is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein produced from blood. PRP has a large concentration of growth factors, helping tissue to heal and repair, treating all types of skin issues.
What is the process?
Microneedling with PRP is administered in an office setting. The first step is the initial blood draw, which is relatively painless. Your blood is then placed in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and platelets from the red blood cells.
Before the microneedling portion of the treatment begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the face to manage any discomfort of the needling.
Once the numbing cream is active and the microneedling has been completed, the PRP is rubbed on the skin. The PRP should remain on the skin for the rest of the day to maximize results. Patients will notice dry, red, sensitive skin, much like a light sunburn for the first few days after treatment.

The most amazing eyebrows. You are professional kind and caring. Each of your clients are individuals and you work that way. I love my new eyebrows the shape, the colour is perfect best of all I am getting lovely compliments. Thank you Alison

Laura Rooney

I was very pleased with my initial eyebrow session with Alison but was doubly delighted with the second top up session. This is a pic of me on the right with barely any eyebrow pencil, impressive considering my eyebrows were assaulted with years of over plucking. Alison is highly professional, passionate about her trade and also a lovely person to get along with. Don't hesitate to contact her and make your appointment

I had a lovely experience with Alison getting Dermaplaning done for the first time. She is very welcoming and friendly... and a fountain of knowledge when it comes to looking after your skin! Highly recommended!

went to this lady for a full body massage, including a foot massage. To say I was walking on air is an understatement. I suffer with a lot of back and neck tension , and sore feet, due to my demanding work. I've struggled for years to find someone with strong hands and really getting into my particular knots. In my experience Therapists only give a relaxing pampering massage, which I find irritating, as it never did the job. Finally I found Alison, she really is tunned into your individual concerns . I highly recommend her, money well spent, I can't wait for my next massage ..

First time at Alison, she was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable on my visit! She was very professional and i was delighted with the service

Picosure Laser Tattoo Removal

Frequently Asked Questions

How does laser tattoo removal work?

Laser energy is delivered to the tattoo, targeting the ink and breaking it down into smaller particles. The particles are eliminated by the body’s natural processes, resulting in a lightening of the tattoo ink.

How many treatments will I require?

The number of laser treatments needed is dependent on a number of variables such as ink type, size of the tattoo, lifestyle habits, etc. During your consultation, we will evaluate your tattoo and recommend a realistic treatment regime to help you achieve the best results.

How often will I need treatments?

While it typically it takes 8 weeks for the body to absorb ink particles, every patient and tattoo responds differently. Following the recommended post treatment protocol will likely improve the results and reduce the chance of adverse events.

Can I have only a portion of my tattoo removed?

Yes, the Picosure Laser provides energy precisely enough so that a small amount of a tattoo can be removed without affecting the surrounding tattoo.

How much does tattoo removal cost?

The cost of laser removal depends on several factors, including the size of the tattoo and the number of treatments it will require. Following your consultation, we can provide you a price estimate for the treatment series.

Can I lighten the tattoo to have another one put on top?

Yes, tattoos can be lightened in preparation for a cover-up tattoo. We recommend that you wait six weeks between your last treatment and when you have the new tattoo completed.

Does tattoo removal hurt?

This procedure is slightly more uncomfortable than getting a tattoo, however it is very fast. Many treatments may take less than a minute. Should a client wish, we can also work with you on the best pain management option for you based on your individual situation.

Will I blister and scab afterwards?

Blisters and scabs can be a normal response. Keeping the skin covered with a healing ointment and gauze can promote healing and prevent scarring.

Aftercare for botox

1. Is there anything I should not do after BOTOX®?

Botulinum Toxin is a quick and safe procedure that has very little impact on usual activity on the day of injection. We deliver tiny injections to relax the action of the muscles that create excessive movement. These movements create ‘dynamic wrinkles’ over time. Here’s what not to do after Botox – we recommend the following precautions to allow the anti-wrinkle injections to work optimally in the targeted muscles:

  • No rubbing or massaging of the injected area for 4 hours after treatment, including facials.
  • No strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
  • Keep upright for 4 hours — no lying on your front. Minimise activities such as shoe shopping.
  • Avoid headwear that is tightly fitted across the forehead.
  • Reduce excessive alcohol consumption or medically necessary blood-thinning medication before the treatment to prevent bruising.

If you have any questions that you would like to talk about in person, contact me on 0830726435 and our experienced staff will be happy to go through any queries you might have.

2. How soon after can I go back to my normal exercise regime?

Patients can resume normal daily activities immediately following treatment. Light exercise after Botox can be performed after 4 hours but it is recommended that strenuous activities are avoided for 24 hours.

After 4 hours you may perform light exercise such as:

  • Walking
  • Jogging
  • Upright yoga (avoid any positions that leave you lying flat or upside down)
  • Gardening

It is recommended that you wait 24 hours before attempting any strenuous exercise after Botox, including:

  • Weight training
  • Cross-training
  • Long-distance running
  • Yoga (positions where the body is inverted)

3. Are there any possible side effects?

In most cases, there will be no side effects to treatment of BOTOX®. However, because everybody’s physiology is different, people can be affected in different ways. A small minority of people reported the following side effects.

  • Bruising — For the majority of patients, the area of injection will appear no different. For a small minority, some minor bruising may occur.
  • Bumps — A few minutes after treatment small bumps may be visible on the skin. These will disappear very quickly.
  • Headache — True BOTOX® allergies are exceedingly rare. Temporary headache is the most commonly reported symptom following anti-ageing injectables, though the numbers of patients who report headaches is very small compared with the number of treatments performed. Any headache can be treated with usual painkillers.

4. How soon can I drink alcohol after my muscle relaxant treatment?

Some practitioners advise limiting alcohol in the first 24 hours and for the day prior to treatment. This is because alcohol can thin the blood much like an aspirin, and abstaining can help prevent bruising.

5. What are the symptoms of a reaction to BOTOX®?

Generally, BOTOX® injections side effects are rare and recovery is swift. Your practitioner is available should you have any questions or concerns over minor side effects such as bruising and headache.

6. Am I allowed to touch my face after having anti-wrinkle injections?

Yes. Your face will not feel overly sore or tender. Treatment will not prevent you from washing or continuing with your normal skincare regimen. However, you are advised to avoid rubbing or massaging your face for up to 4 hours after your last treatment.

7. Are BOTOX® injections long-lasting?

Although some people experience longer-lasting results, scientific evidence shows that the effect of Botulinum Toxin injections usually last 12-16 weeks.

To find out more about the effects of BOTOX®, talk to me on 0830726435

8. Can I keep having anti-wrinkle injections?

Yes. BOTOX® does not ‘build up’ or accumulate in your system. We recommend scheduled treatments at about 12-16 weeks. Once the effects have worn off it is safe for you to top up treatments in the same area. It is also perfectly safe to have multiple treatments in different areas at the same time.

Biotin Injections

Biotin Injections

What Are Biotin Injections? Biotin is a type of B complex vitamin that occurs naturally in a variety of foods. Biotin injections are used for the improvement of fine, fragile, or thinning hair. Although biotin occurs naturally in various foods, people suffering from a deficiency usually have a genetic issue that prevents them from fully absorbing this nutrient. Food sources with the most significant amounts of biotin include: · Nuts (especially peanuts and almonds) · Egg yolks · Soybeans · Fish · Whole-wheat bread · Pork · Cauliflower Since the body does not absorb biotin when it is applied to the skin, many individuals prefer biotin injections. These injections assist in the metabolism of fatty acids, carbohydrates, and protein. Its major benefit is strengthening hair and nails. Biotin plays a major role in the natural hair manufacturing process—it is essential to not only grow new hair, but it’s also crucial in improving the overall health of your hair nails weight and skin

PRP?PRF

PRP?PRF

What is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)? Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a modern treatment that uses the growth factor proteins found in the patient’s own blood to promote healing, strengthen and encourage growth of new cells, and assist with blood clotting. PRP treatment is commonly used for various medical needs, specifically to aid with the healing of wounds or musculoskeletal injuries, for rejuvenation of the skin, and to prevent hair loss. PRP treatment is now being commonly used by dermatologists to address such hair loss conditions as male pattern baldness or female pattern baldness – also known as androgenetic alopecia – and alopecia areata. While the treatment is not currently FDA approved to treat hair loss, the procedure still helps to prevent thinning hair and promotes new hair growth with long-lasting results.
